A brand new website will officially be launched on Monday making it easier to find qualified, reliable valuers and valuations. The Institute of Registered Valuers believes their new website will finally grant consumers and trade professionals access to recognised professional valuers in an up-to-now under regulated industry.
The new website: www.jewelleryvaluers.org includes information and advice on valuers as well as an extensive database of qualified, knowledgeable experts and a search engine to find local professionals, which it is hoped will inspire confidence in consumers and professionals alike.
The website is one of the first undertakings of the new Institute, formally the Registered Valuers Scheme, which was set up last year by the National Association of Goldsmiths. The Institute’s aim is to promote professionalism amongst valuers following a perceived growth in demand for valuations, the increasing influence of insurance companies on the industry and a need for reassurance that valuations are being undertaken by valuers you can trust.
“The launch of the new Institute is without doubt the most progressive step made to-date to unify the whole industry towards one goal; valuing excellence and professionalism” said Jonathan Lambert, Chairman of the National Association of Goldsmith’s Valuations Committee.
The NAG’s Chairman Frank Wood will host a champagne launch for the website on Monday 2nd February 2009 at 1pm on the NAG’s stand at Spring Fair International (Hall 17, Stand A25). Experienced Valuers and NAG staff will be on hand to answer any queries and to show off the new website.
